Craig Thurling
The Rissingtons
Craig was elected to Cotswold District Council in January 2026 and has lived in the North Cotswolds for 15 years.
He lives with his wife Sarah, their two cats and six chickens! You may know him if your children have attended the Beaver Scouts where he has been a volunteer leader for the past 3 years.
Giving young people the best start and helping them reach their potential is important to Craig.
Professionally, he works in the energy sector helping big companies reduce their carbon emissions in order to help combat climate change. He wants to use his community and professional experience to give back to our area.
Craig has three key priorities that he will work hard to address as a district councillor:
• Save our hospital services - Using his position to make standing up for services at North Cotswolds Hospital his number one priority.
• Supporting residents with the cost of living - Many people are feeling the pinch and he will work with officers at the Council to support residents and signpost them to help.
• Fix our roads - The County Council is investing an extra £15m into roads and he will work to ensure that roads like Wyck Beacon are front of the queue.
